The Distinguished Alumni Award honors an alumnus or alumna who are at least 15 years out from graduation who have typified the Geisel/DMS tradition of excellence and brought credit to the institution by their personal accomplishment, professional achievement, and/or by making significant contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion, locally, regionally, nationally, and/or internationally.

If nominated for DEI, nominees must have demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion that may include but is not limited to excellence in 1) leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion; 2) culturally sensitive healthcare; 3) engagement and work addressing healthcare disparities/health equity; 4) mentorship; and/or 5) research. 

Submit a nomination for a Distinguished Alumni Award

The nomination deadline for the next awards cycle is January 10, 2025. 

Submissions must include a nomination form, a CV or resume, and two letters of recommendation to be considered complete. Incomplete nominations will not be considered for review by the Alumni Recognition Committee.
