Geisel & Dartmouth-Hitchcock Alumni Affinity Groups
About
Alumni Affinity Groups launched in August 2020 as a global pandemic upended our lives and social unrest spread across the U.S. in a way many of us hadn’t seen before. These events, and the truths they exposed about inequity in our society, called on us to build more community within our alumni body. We began with seven core groups and have since expanded to ten to reflect additional areas of interest by alumni and needs of the students.
Purpose
Alumni Affinity Groups are aimed to reflect the diverse interests, backgrounds, and regional locations of the Geisel, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, and Dartmouth College student, resident, fellow, and the alumni communities. Each of these groups aims to foster leadership development and advocacy events and activities, while providing personal and professional networking opportunities for group members, and a support for the Dartmouth Health Care and Biomedical Science communities un the ways that matter most to them.
