Microbiology & Immunology Program Fund
The Microbiology & Immunology Program Fund provides funding in support of Microbiology and Immunology research; faculty have a strong record of applying basic research findings to the treatment of human disease. Investigative efforts include understanding 1) viral, bacterial, parasitic and fungal pathogenesis; 2) innate and specific immune responses to pathogens in tissues such as the brain, eye, lung and human female reproductive tract; and 3) cancer immunobiology including tumor vaccines, anti-melanoma immunity and engineering cellular and antibody-based immunotherapies.
