Celebrating 192 Graduates
“Embrace change in your life and your career,” said Anne E. de Papp ’88 in her Class Day address to the 192 proud graduates of the Geisel School’s MD, PhD, MPH, and MS programs on June 7th. “After all, this is what life is about, new experiences and new opportunities.” See photos and read more about Class Day 2014. O’Donnell named to McInerny Professorship
Following in the footsteps of C. Everett Koop, Joseph O’Donnell ’71 has been appointed to the Elizabeth DeCamp McInerny Professorship, which supports the work of a physician in promoting ethics scholarship. A professor of medicine and of psychiatry and the senior advising dean, O’Donnell has been described as “the heart and soul” of Geisel. Read more...

Molly Taylor ’13: Rediscovering the root of medicine 
Molly Taylor, MD, is a first-year resident in pediatrics at the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital. In the second of a special series of essays for Geisel, Taylor offers an inside look at a young doctor’s journey, reflecting on the people she cares for, on maintaining a humanistic approach, on the rapid pace and learning demands of residency, and on the rewards of being a doctor.
