About the Fund for DMS
The Fund for Dartmouth Medical School provides the fiscal flexibility the Medical School needs to seize opportunities and respond to the demands of providing the next generation of doctors and scientists with the best education and training possible. Gifts to the Fund support scholarship, curriculum development, the recruitment and retention of the highest caliber faculty, the creation of innovative programs and state-of-the-art facilities, and the overall operation of the medical school.
Giving to the Fund for Dartmouth Medical School is a tangible means for alumni to testify to the value of their Dartmouth experience and the impact it had on their personal and professional lives and to help ensure the status of DMS as a premier Medical School.
Fund for DMS Celebrates a Record-Breaking Year!
For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010, the Fund for DMS raised $592,220 from nearly 1,000 alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends. The Fund for DMS provides critically needed unrestricted support, according to Dr. John Moran (DMS '55), chair of the Fund for Dartmouth Medical School Working Group. This achievement is due in great measure to the to the hard work and dedication of our alumni who serve as Class Agents, on Reunion Gift Committees, and on the Fund for DMS Working Group.

DMS Reunion Gift Campaign
The 2010 DMS Reunion Gift Campaign is underway. Reunion giving campaigns encourage participation and awareness of the importance of alumni annual donations. The primary goal is to increase alumni participation. Reunion Gift Campaigns run through September 30, with a presentation to the dean at the reunion.
Fund for DMS Campaign Progress
Gifts to the Fund for Dartmouth Medical School provide the Medical School with much-needed unrestricted support, a key priority of the Transforming Medicine Campaign.
The Fund for DMS achieved $4.31 Million during the Transforming Medicine Campaign, (July 1, 2002 through December 31, 2009), exceeding the goal of $3.58 Million by 21%.
