Bryan E. Landgraf, an immunologist who earned his PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Dartmouth in 1991, died on July 23, 2010, at the age of 52 after a brief battle with an aggressive form of stomach cancer.

Before attending Dartmouth, Dr. Landgraf earned a B.A. from the University of California-San Diego in 1980. He was employed for many years by Cytomed, Inc. of Cambridge, Mass., a biopharmaceutical company specializing in the treatment of inflammatory diseases. He also held a patent, issued in 1995, for a gene procedure he invented. Dr. Landgraf is survived by his two daughters, Anneka and Teresa.
